There are some different kinds of kangaroos. The red kangaroo mostly live in the deserts and dry grasslands of central Australia. The eastern grey kangaroo live in forests and grasslands in sothern and eastern Australia.  The western grey kangaroo live all around the southern part of Australia. The tree kangaroo(the picture) mostly live in the forests of Australia and New Guinea.  The red kangaroo is the largest living marsupial.  The female red kangaroo grows smaller than the male and they have grayish-blue fur. Males weigh as much as 187 pounds, but most of them weigh 110 pounds. 
Kangaroos don't have very many enemies except for humans and wild dogs called Dingoes.  People hunt kangaroos to save their crops or get meat, fur, and leather.  The tree kangaroo is fully protected, but their homes are getting destroyed.
Tree kangaroos mostly eat and sleep in trees. They are much smaller than the other kangaroos and are more fuller shape.  The Australian government keeps kangaroos safe from hunting, but in some areas where animals have wondered and hunters can shoot them if they have a lissens.
